The
woman, who was employed by a
private clothing company in
Noida, was allegedly sexually attacked while travelling in a cab from
Firozabad to her hometown of Auraiya, which is around 360 kilometres distant.
In her complaint, the woman claimed that at around 8:30 p.m., she had boarded a taxi from Noida Sector 37 to Firozabad. The accused began to harass the woman as soon as they entered the Yamuna Expressway.
Police have arrested three men
Three males, including a cab driver, have been detained by the Agra police for allegedly gang-raping a 23-year-old lady early on Wednesday near the Yamuna Expressway. Jaiveer, Titu, and Chacha were identified by the police as the defendants.
ACP Etmadpur According to Ravi Kumar Gupta of The Indian Express, the victim was returning to her hometown of Auraiya, which is around 360 kilometres away, in a taxi via Firozabad when she was sexually assaulted. The victim worked for a private clothing company in Noida.
"The incident took place in or near Kuberpur sometime in the early hours of Wednesday. The car's driver was one of the accused. After stopping there, he contacted the other two, and they then sexually assaulted the woman. The other two are also local drivers," he said.
Noida’s Sector 37
"The woman claimed that she had taken a taxi to Firozabad from Noida's Sector 37 the day before at at 8.30 p.m. She claimed that three guys sexually assaulted her on the Yamuna Expressway before leaving her in the vicinity of Etmadpur and putting her in an auto to Firozabad. A medical checkup would be conducted after a case has been filed, the officer said.
Singh stated that the toll plaza CCTV cameras were utilised to identify the vehicle, and that the three guys have been arrested and are being questioned.
"We began the search in the vicinity of the incident. Our crews managed to capture all three. Female police officers have transported the woman to the hospital for treatment.
