Bharat Jodo Yatra Today, Delhi Red Fort
Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, claimed that the BJP government was fomenting animosity between Hindus and Muslims in order to distract the nation from pressing problems after the Bharat Jodo Yatra arrived at the Red Fort in New Delhi on Saturday. Gandhi added, "This is Ambani and Adani's administration, not PM Modi's."
Kamal Haasan joined the yatra in the afternoon near ITO
Kamal Haasan, an actor-turned-politician, joined the yatra in the late afternoon close to ITO. Sonia and Priyanka Gandhi, two prominent members of the Congress, Saturday morning accompanied Rahul Gandhi on his Bharat Jodo Yatra across Delhi. Gandhi declared upon his arrival in Delhi that the Yatra's aim is to show off the "true Hindustan," where people support one another as opposed to the RSS and BJP's portrayal of a hate-filled nation. "This pilgrimage contains no nafrat. Everybody helps someone who stumbles. This is the genuine India. Gandhi addressed a crowd at the Delhi border, saying, "Not the hate-filled Hindustan of the BJP and RSS. He also expressed gratitude to the "lakhs of people" who supported and loved the demonstration.
As the yatra entered the city, traffic in some areas of southeast Delhi was impacted. On Friday, the traffic police had issued a warning to commuters about the routes that might be impacted by the yatra. The yatra will travel through Delhi for around 23 miles, beginning at the Badarpur border where it entered from Haryana and ending at Red Fort. Nizamuddin, India Gate, ITO, Delhi Gate, and Daryaganj will all be traversed. The yatra will stop after passing through Delhi for almost nine days before starting again on January 3rd.
