Woman’s body found in fridge in Najafgarh dhaba Delhi, boyfriend arrested

The Delhi Police detained a guy on Tuesday for reportedly using a data wire to strangle his live-in spouse in a car and putting her body in a refrigerator at his dhaba. According to reports, the murder happened on February 10.

By Tanseem Haider and Arvind Ojha: A man has been detained by Delhi Police on suspicion of murdering his live-in girlfriend, a 22-year-old woman, and concealing her body in a refrigerator in a dhaba on the outskirts of Mitraon village in Najafgarh.

Nikki Yadav, was strangulated to death by her boyfriend

Sources claim that on the night between February 9 and 10, the deceased, Nikki Yadav, was strangled to death by her boyfriend Sahil Gehlot (24), close to Kashmiri Gate ISBT. The woman was allegedly strangled by the accused in his automobile using the data cable from his mobile phone.

Police said crime

 According to sources, Nikki Yadav was strangled to death by her boyfriend Sahil Gehlot (24), near the Kashmiri Gate ISBT, on the night of February 9 and 10. The guy allegedly used the data cord from his mobile phone to strangle the woman in his car.

According to the police, Sahil Gehlot committed the crime because Nikki Yadav, who had been his roommate for the previous five years, was urging him to wed her despite his family's efforts to find him a suitable spouse.

Investigation by police, Sahil and Nikki Yadav were in a relationship

Sahil and Nikki were dating, according to the police's early investigation. While preparing for competitive exams in the Uttam Nagar neighbourhood in 2018, Sahil, a resident of Mitraon village, met Nikki, a resident of Jhajjar, Haryana. Later, they both enrolled at Greater Noida's same college.

In a leased home in Greater Noida, the couple began cohabitating. They went back to their individual houses during the Covid lockdown, and once the lockdown was lifted, they resumed living together in a leased home in the Dwarka neighbourhood.

Sahil's family was pressurising him to get married

The accused kept his relationship with his family a secret from them. Sahil's family was pressuring him to wed a different woman, and they set the date for the wedding for February 10. Nikki confronted Sahil after learning about it, and the two got into a fight. Sahil allegedly strangled Nikki using a data cable from his mobile phone that was kept in his car, according to the authorities.

He then took her corpse to his own dhaba and placed it inside a refrigerator. On the outskirts of the village of Mitraon, the dhaba is located on a barren tract of land. Then he returned to his house to legally wed a different woman.
