The Noida district government has mandated that all schools close on July 14th. The choice was made in response to the Yamuna River's rising water level as a result of the three days of nonstop rain and the potential for significant rain tomorrow.
Many areas of the city are experiencing water logging, and some have seen conditions resembling floods.

According to a letter from the District Inspector of Schools (DIoS), Dr. Dharamveer Singh, all schools with courses up to the 12th grade must be closed on July 14 owing to the Yamuna River's rising water level as a result of heavy rain and the risk of further rain.

Yamuna River's water level has risen significantly from its danger threshold of 205.33. By 1 pm on Wednesday, the water level had already broken the previous record, which stood at 207.49 metres, and by 10 pm, it had reached 208 metres.
