NOIDA: According to official data, there have been more admissions in grades 9 to12 in UP board schools after the Covid .
The increase in admissions to schools resuming physical classes
Officials attributed the rise in enrollment to the start of physical education lessons in schools as well as the return of the migratory community to the city and the enrollment of their children in local schools.
In 2023, the number of admissions went up to 85,000.
In the academic year 2021–2022, 79,000 pupils were registered among the 152 schools under the board. The number of admissions increased to 85,000 in 2022–2023.
The information for the current academic year has not yet been assembled. However, officials believe the actual number could be greater.
The district school inspector claimed that because of the uncertainty surrounding lessons and the migrant population returning to their hometowns owing to a lack of employment, the dropout rate had risen throughout the epidemic.
Schools were forced to take online classes
The admission rate has undoubtedly increased, despite the fact that the statistics for this year has not yet been gathered, according to Dharamveer Singh, the district inspector of schools in Gautam Budh Nagar.
