Updates on the Karnataka Bandh: Today, the entire state is participating in a strike that pro-Kannada organisations have organised two days after the Bengaluru Bandh.
In the midst of a scenario that resembles a drought in numerous districts, protests are taking place throughout the state opposing the flow of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu. In order to deal with protesters and prevent any law and order problems, the Karnataka police have increased their presence throughout the state.
Karnataka Bandh Here are the top 5 points:
1. In Mandya, Bengaluru, Mysuru, Chamarajanagara, Ramanagara, and Hassan, Section 144 has been implemented.
2. The Ola Uber Driver's and Owner's Association will organise a demonstration from Nayandahalli to Town Hall, and a sizable protest parade will be led from Town Hall to Freedom Park in Bengaluru.
3. Pro-Kannada organisations have threatened to disrupt airports and national roads. According to Vatal Nagaraj, the leader of the "Kannada Okkuta," buses, cabs, and cars are planning to support the bandh.
4. Police have said that demonstrators will be responsible for paying any and all costs in the event of any damage loss in any place. Protests are only permitted in Freedom Park.
5. All schools, colleges and other educational institutions have been given a holiday today in Bengaluru, Mysuru, Chamarajanagara, Ramanagara, Mandya and Hassan in view of the bandh.
Farmers association in Tamil Nadu also stages protest
A demonstration was organised by the farmers' organisation in Trichy, Tamil Nadu, calling for the provision of more water to Tamil Nadu.
Karnataka govt failed to present its case before CWMA':
The state government is providing water from the Cauvery River to Tamil Nadu, according to BJP MP Tejasvi Surya. Bengaluru residents won't have access to drinking water if Cauvery River water is sent to Tamil Nadu in this manner. The Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA) has not heard from the Karnataka government.
TN to appeal SC for 5,000 cusecs of water from Karnataka
Tamil Nadu Water Resources Minister Duraimurugan stated on the Cauvery water sharing problem, "We will again seek the delivery of 5000 cusecs of water from Karnataka. The Supreme Court will hear our case, and they will give the Karnataka government instructions.
Karnataka Bandh : Schools extend their ‘moral support’ to strike
According to a representative of the Karnataka State Private Schools' Association, they are providing the bandh with "moral support."
"We have advised the members of our association to exercise caution in regards to the bandh. The office bearer stated, "We have informed our pupils that there is a likelihood that schools may remain closed.
