News about air pollution in Delhi, NCR: As of 9:30 on November 8, SAFAR data showed that the overall air quality was 395, with a thick poisonous haze, sometimes known as "smog," hanging heavily over the nation's capital.
The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) reports that the AQI in several parts of Delhi was also in the "severe category." According to CPCB statistics, the AQI was 434 in RK Puram, 415 in ITO, 439 in Patparganj, and 451 in Rohini. 1. The AQI at Anand Vihar registered the poorest air quality around 10:30 a.m., with an AQI of 999, according to data from aqicn.org.

Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri met with Claudius da Costa Gomez, CEO of the German Biogas Association, in Berlin amid high pollution levels in the country's capital. He stated that the two of them attempted to find a solution for stubble burning, as Germany is a global leader in the production of biogas from parali (stubble). He said, "An estimated 352 MT of stubble is created each year in India. Parali may be utilised for manufacturing biogas, a technology in which Germany is a world leader. Thirty-four percent comes from rice and twenty-two percent from wheat harvests.
9. A variety of factors, such as dust and vehicle pollution, dry, cold weather, stubble burning, burning agricultural wastes after harvest, and commuting, can contribute to high air pollution levels throughout the winter.
10. Medical professionals and specialists in the field discussed the dangerous effects of air pollution on human health in general. Dr. Piyush Ranjan, an additional professor in the AIIMS department of medicine, told news agency ANI that there is scientific proof linking many forms of cancer to air pollution. In addition, he mentioned that in addition to damaging the lungs, air pollution is directly linked to coronary artery disorders such as arthritis, heart attacks, and strokes.
