Lord Hanuman from the parking area
The decision to remove a makeshift temple and a statue of Lord Hanuman from the parking lot was made by the society's maintenance department, which sparked the outcry. Residents yelling "Bring back Bajrangbali" chants and claiming that the maintenance department was "anti-Hindu" could be heard.
It has come to light that the builder was the one who sent the notice for the temple's removal.
According to reports, an important Hanuman idol and a temporary temple mysteriously disappeared from the parking lot. According to legend, the builder had given notice to have the temple removed, but even after this, the statue was supposed to have stayed in place.
The Lord Handuman idol, according to the architects, was fashioned of marble, which was readily breakable when struck by a moving object. The decision was made by the authorities to remove it from the parking lot.
Anger at the removal of the idol caused locals to congregate on the road and essentially block it.
To manage the problem, the police came at the scene right away. Later, the authorities convinced the locals to leave in peace.
