At the Indian Institute of Technology - BHU in Varanasi, a student said that she was approached by three anonymous guys on a motorbike and assaulted on campus. This led to a protest on Thursday morning. The student said the males undressed her, gave her an abusive kiss, and then took a video of her.

Lanka police station IPC sections 354-B
A charge under IPC sections 354-B (assault or use of criminal force on lady with intent to disrobe), 506 (criminal intimidation), and the IT Act has been filed against two unnamed individuals at the Lanka police station.
Student, in her police complaint, stated
The student claimed to be an IIT-BHU dorm resident in her police complaint. I went for a stroll on November 2, leaving my hostel at roughly 1:30 am. I made a guy buddy. Together, we were strolling when.. Three males on a motorbike rode up behind us. My companion and I were split up when they parked their motorbike there.
They dragged me to a corner, sealed my lips shut, kissed me violently, undressed me, took pictures and films, and more. They threatened to murder me when I yelled for assistance. After ten to fifteen minutes, they let me leave. I heard the motorbike as I was running towards my accommodation.
UP Special Director General of Police (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar said,
"The investigation is ongoing," UP Special Director General of Police (Law and Order), Prashant Kumar, stated in an interview with Blogging Freek. There hasn't been an arrest yet. To ensure peace and order, police have been stationed on the institute's campus.
IIT BHU Students’ Parliament said
The IIT BHU Students' Parliament declared in a statement that they are "launching an institute-wide protest" in response to these recent incidents. They said, "We are staging a sit-in protest at DG Corner and the Director's Office starting at 10 am on November 2 and we are boycotting all academic activities."
It is not the first time such an incident has occurred on campus.
The whole foundation of our organisation has been shattered by this horrible atrocity. It's not the first time that something similar has happened on campus. Students have expressed worries about campus security on several occasions, but the administration has not responded appropriately, they claimed.
The student body has called for "legal action against violent offenders, centralised CCTV, and night barricading to restrict entry of outsider vehicles inside the campus."
Official told The Blogging Freek that at least 2,000 students protest at the institute since
At least 2,000 students have been sitting in protest at the institute since Thursday morning, a varsity spokesman informed The Blogging Freek. "The students are calling for more robust security measures and the implementation of a system that prevents anybody from accessing the campus without an institute ID card.
The institute's senior officials are in discussions with them, and we are investigating their requests, the official stated.
The IIT-BHU management sent out a notification shortly after the demonstration, stating that "all barriers in the institute must henceforth be closed from 10 pm until 5 am... Vehicles with BHU stickers or IIT(BHU) ID cards may be permitted by the post guard.
The student organisations ABVP, NSUI, and AISA all released statements denouncing the event.
