Dunki box office receipts: With the Rajkumar Hirani picture, Shah Rukh Khan, who has been soaring at the box office this year thanks to back-to-back successes like Pathaan and Jawan, is probably going to have his lowest opening of the year.
Dunki may earn ₹30 crore nett in India
The article claims that on its debut day in India, Dunki might make ₹30 crore nett in all languages. This is Shah Rukh Khan's lowest-grossing film debut of the year. While Jawan's movie Pathaan made ₹57 crore its first day of release, according to Sacnilk.com, Jawan made ₹89.5 crore.
Shah Rukh Khan’s third film of the year
With great hype, Shah Rukh Khan's third movie of the year, Dunki, debuted in theatres on Thursday. The renowned single-screen theatre Gaiety Galaxy in Mumbai hosted the premiere of the Rajkumar Hirani film in India at 5:55 a.m., and based on pictures from the event that went viral online, it appeared to be a celebration. Nevertheless, the movie didn't draw as many people during the day.
Early estimates from industry tracker Sacnilk state that Dunki is expected to earn about Rs 30 crore on Thursday. The movie had an occupancy of 26.77% for the afternoon shows and 26.445% for the morning presentations.
The movie's overall occupancy rate in Hindi was around 24.11%. It should be mentioned that the SRK film debuted in theatres on a weekday that is open for business. It may quicken throughout the next Christmas weekend.
"SRK is the star attraction in Dunki and the film presents him in an avatar that we have seen earlier as well, in fact, multiple times over," says BloggingFreek's assessment of the movie. He is charming and adorable as the young, clean-shaven hero who falls in love with the first female he meets in Punjab, where he had travelled in search of love.
However, in the second part of the novel, as his stubble develops and the group travels through some of the most treacherous trails and routes imaginable, he improves. Khan never fails to enchant you, whether they are travelling through Iran's deserts or the snow-capped mountains of their next stop."
Fans celebrated Dunki's release
Drumbeats, dancing, and confetti were heard when the movie premiered in cinemas on Thursday morning to mixed reviews from reviewers and a lot of enthusiasm from his fan base. Following the huge successes Pathaan and Jawan, Shah Rukh is starring in his third movie of the year, Dunki. The much-discussed movie, which is billed as a comedic drama focused on illegal immigration, didn't wow many reviewers, and the hype didn't quite match that of Shah Rukh's last two releases.
