Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal claimed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has set aside nearly eight hundred crore rupees to buy down the Delhi government, in a series of tweets on Sunday. Mr Kejriwal tweeted that the BJP had offered a total of forty crore rupees ($80,000) for each of the forty legislators it needs for a simple majority in the assembly. The offer was made to a number of legislators earlier this month, who had indicated that they would vote against the government in the event of a confidence vote. Mr Kejriwal says he has evidence of the transaction, which he said would be made public on Monday.
