The 5G services are launching in India sooner than one can expect. If reports are concerned, two major telecom operators Reliance Jio and Airtel may launch their 5G services in India by the end of this month. The two companies had launched the 5G service in a few select cities, but will launch the service in the entire country in the next few weeks. Thus, the 5G services will be available in only 13 cities at first, but that number will increase day by day.
5G is going to be much more powerful than 4G. It can reach speeds up to 1 Gbps (a 1,000 times as fast as the 4G), taking less time to connect than 4G. Also, it supports much more data, which is why this number of cities is so important.
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on Saturday announced that the 5G services of two telecom operators -- Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio -- would be launched in 13 cities across the country on September 5.
