Rajinikanth's first look from Jailer has gone viral on the internet. The film is directed by Nelson and its music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

The first look from the movie Jailer which was exclusively shared on Twitter by Sun Pictures on Monday, revealed the logo of the 2019 film which was released in Tamil with English subtitles, featuring a jailer with a long mustache, and was directed by AR Murugadoss. A poster which revealed the title of the film and Rajinikanth's role as the jailer was released last week.

Director Dhanush is making his name on pure technical expertise and has produced films like Billi Boo Billi, Lingaa, and Kaaviyaan for many years. He has also garnered critical acclaim for the works of other directors under his production company, Studio Green. On Monday, August 22, he hit the floors at the Kamaraj Studios in Chennai for the very first time to shoot for Jailer, which also marks his directorial debut.

Over the past few days, the shooting of ‘Jailer’ has been going on. The film, which was earlier reported to begin last week, has finally begun rolling cameras. Looks like the much-awaited film has finally started rolling on Monday.

The film's shooting began on Monday, August 22, at Film Nagar in Ramoji Road.

It was a blue-ish morning when Rajinikanth stepped out from his room and took the first look. He had to shield his eyes from the bright light due to the sunglasses. The fans went wild with cheers and applause but the actor did not utter a word. One could feel the sense of pride radiating from him.
