Today, the nation lost a woman of strong values and a larger-than-life personality. Sonali Phogat’s death took place around 6.30 pm. She was 41.
Phogat, who was 42, died of a heart attack in Goa’s Panjim district. She is survived by her husband, Sunny, and their two daughters, aged three and five.
Sonali Phogat, who rose to fame through the kid’s TV show, Bigg Boss, passed away at the Apollo Hospital in Goa. She was 42, and is survived by her husband, actor-turned-politician Abhishek Phogat, and her two sons, Aditya and Aryan. She was also noted for her philanthropic deeds.
Sonali Phogat, the daughter and wife of actor-turned-politician Phogat Singh Phogat and BJP President Nitin Gadkari, passed away of a heart attack at the age of 42 early on Monday in Goa. Phogat, who was about to complete her MPhil in Political Science from Panjab University, was rushed to a Goan hospital after she complained of discomfort on Monday. On Tuesday, her condition deteriorated with her father-in-law calling in the early hours to tell her that she had passed away, reported PTI.
Talking about this, Amit Jain, founder and CEO, Bigg Boss said, “We are shocked and saddened by the news of the passing of our beloved Sonali. We are deeply saddened by this incident. She was a wonderful human being and a great performer. We will miss her immensely and we ask that you keep her family, friends and fans in your thoughts and prayers.”

Sonali Phogat's husband, actor-turned-politician and BJP President Nitin Gadkari, said: "She was a very generous person. She stood by her husband when he was not able to speak for himself. She never put political interests above the needs of others. She was a source of inspiration for all of us.
