A woman in Bengaluru jumped off a Rapido bike taxi to escape alleged harassment by the rider. On the evening of April 21, the event took place within the boundaries of Yelahanka New Town police station.

The 30-year-old architect hired a Rapido bike cab to Indiranagar on April 21, according to a report in the Deccan Herald. The driver changed the location after he took the woman's phone to get an OTP. He did not answer to the woman's retort as he turned to go in another direction. She even grabbed the driver's phone to call her pal for assistance. She did, however, also claim that the driver had inappropriately touched her, and she leapt off a speeding bike close to BMS College. The CCTV video that went viral showed a girl attempting to flee and falling from her bike onto the street.
Next day, she filed a police complaint.
She made a police report the next day. The accused was apprehended by police once they located him. The defendant, Deepak Rao, is a 28-year-old native of Hyderabad. The cops say he has been employed in Bengaluru for four and a half years. He began his career managing food delivery. He has been working with a bike taxi aggregator for the past two and a half years.
To confirm his ancestry, police have contacted their counterparts in Hyderabad.
