Recent campus placements at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay have reportedly gone quite well. Many students have had offers for well-paying jobs from both overseas and inside India. Among them are those who bagged packages worth staggering numbers.
388 businesses participated in the first phase of IIT Bombay's campus placements for 2023–2024. This includes government agencies and companies that post employment prior to the event.
Recruiters included engineering and technology
The recruiters ranged widely, from technology and engineering enterprises to financial, banking, and fintech businesses. Prominent industries like analytics, data science, and management consulting also made an impression.
The institution has scheduled industry visits using a special method. The goal of this strategy is to reduce stress for students and steer clear of offers that overlap. Employers engaged with applicants via online channels or in-person interactions. Interviews were conducted in front of the students on campus.
63 students received employment offers from nations like Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, the Netherlands, Singapore, and Hong Kong, demonstrating the global reach of placements. Within the country, an impressive 85 students were awarded packages worth more than ₹1 crore each year.
Top employers that have come to campus this season include Morgan Stanley, Mercedes-Benz, Qualcomm, Reliance Group, Samsung, Schlumberger, Strand Life Sciences, Tata Group, Texas Instruments, TSMC, TVS Group, Wells Fargo, Airbus, Air India, Apple, Cohesity, Da Vinci, Google, Intel, Jaguar Land Rover, and Morgan Stanley. The industries with the most offers were technology and engineering, IT, software, banking, fintech, finance, management consulting, data science and analytics, research and development, and design.
