Noida: Videos of a confrontation between two groups of residents at the Hyde Park housing society in
Sector 78 of
Noida have gone viral, along with claims that some politically influential people also brandished a dagger. The resident body elections are once again cited as the cause of this society's second event of this nature in a month.
In one of the two most recent videos , which were captured on Thursday night, some locals are seen abusing and belligerently requesting that some occupants in a car come out. They may be heard saying that the people in the car are intoxicated.
Second video shows people getting into fistfights and running
The
other video has individuals charging at one another,
fighting, and fleeing while hurling Hindi insults at one another. Most of the people involved in the confrontations are guys, however several women can be heard yelling and assaulting one of the groups.
After elections for the society's Apartment Owners' Association, the brawl, according to the police, was a part of an ongoing argument (AOA).
Additionally, some residents staged a sit-in at the society gates before being dispersed.
A previous executive member of the association, Pushpendra Singh, had allegedly visited him at his house and begun abusing him, according to a case later filed by a society resident named Tarun Bhardwaj. Later, according to Pushpendra Singh's statement in the FIR, three additional people—of which two are named, Abhishek Tiwari and Kunal—were inebriated and assaulted Tarun Bhardwaj. Charges include assault, criminal intimidation, and house trespass; nobody has been detained thus far.
police officer Sharad Kant
According to local police officer Sharad Kant, one of the groups accused the other side of acting inappropriately with ladies. He said that some of those involved were "in an inebriated state."
A dispute between two groups of residents at this building also descended into a free-for-all last month, with loud fistfights and hair-pulling captured on camera. Security officers were accused of rigging the voting to favour one of the groups, which led to the start of that altercation. When the police arrived, the altercation was over.
